OK, apparently the good guys over at phpbb are switching versions of rc7 that is available for download on their site. One earlier version of rc7 I have installed works fine. I downloaded another this morning to install on another test machine and the module management system in the acp has a broken path variable apparently. I chased my butt for hours on it before finally deciding it was a phpbb issue. Downloaded it again and tested before adding the integration mods and same thing...broken. Got the latest version from CVS and it works fine.... Evil or Very Mad

Embarassed Oops, the version of phpbb I had working is rc6, not rc7. Still the rc7 version available for download as of 10-18 has broken module management sections in the acp. The cvs version works, so they are aware of the problem...

Ok, this is issue is really annoying. Got the latest version oh phpbbrc7 yesterday and have the same phpbb_admin_path issue where the acp module system is broken and trying to go to files one level too far back in the directory.

Seems to have something to do with the php realpath() function. Skipping the realpath function test in the functions file eliminates the problem on my machine...been fighting this for 2 hours now... Evil or Very Mad

Existing:
Code: › if (!function_exists('realpath'))

Mod:
Code: › if (!function_exists('realpath') || true)

I'll post this here so others can avoid this problem. This is an issue of the realpath() function being broken in some versions of php. I know this version is broken - 5.2.4
