Administering the phpnuke

hi! i d like to understand the site administration meaning of the phpnuke-based site on the internet.
Given that i have my site (phpnuke-based) hosted by a provider , how i can administer it ?
Locally we use the administration menu clicking the link.
so i do this locally and i transfer the new files with an FTP program?

you can add files to your site via any method your host allows, either via a web panel, ftp, ssh, etc. email your host.
