when i installed the module i got this message

Code: › Warning: fopen("/home/virtual/site30/fst/var/www/html/albums/.users/userdb.dat.lock", "a+") - Permission denied in /home/virtual/site30/fst/var/www/html/modules/gallery/platform/fs_unix.php on line 53
Error: Could not open lock file (/home/virtual/site30/fst/var/www/html/albums/.users/userdb.dat.lock)!
Warning: fopen("/home/virtual/site30/fst/var/www/html/albums/.users/1061303886:1037361807.lock", "a+") - Permission denied in /home/virtual/site30/fst/var/www/html/modules/gallery/platform/fs_unix.php on line 53
Error: Could not open lock file (/home/virtual/site30/fst/var/www/html/albums/.users/1061303886:1037361807.lock)!

Of course when i try load gallery module i got this

Code: › Attention Gallery Administrator!

Gallery has detected the following directories:

album01

in your albums directory (/home/virtual/site30/fst/var/www/html/albums).
These are not valid albums. Please move them out of the albums directory

How can i fix this?, the directories above are owned by admin30 (owner of all in /home/virtual/site30/fst/var/www)

btw, it is running at php safe mode, how can i switch it?

safe mode needs to be OFF for gallery to execute successfully. please read through the FAQ at the Gallery site. (link is on the left side of this page, in the "Related Sites" block).

Perhaps i found these lines in my php.ini file

; Safe Mode
;
safe_mode = Off

; By default, Safe Mode does a UID compare check when
; opening files. If you want to relax this to a GID compare,
; then turn on safe_mode_gid.
safe_mode_gid = Off

; When safe_mode is on, UID/GID checks are bypassed when
; including files from this directory and its subdirectories.
; (directory must also be in include_path or full path must
; be used when including)
safe_mode_include_dir =

; When safe_mode is on, only executables located in the safe_mode_exec_dir
; will be allowed to be executed via the exec family of functions.
safe_mode_exec_dir =

so there is no safe on, it's off here!! Shocked

Confused Sry wasn't being rude! It's just that not knowing the CMS makes fixing the problem difficult.

It appears to be a SERVER/GALLERY issue, maybe someone @ http://gallery.menalto.com could help! Smile

it's impossible for us to offer support for all the CMS's that are out there. PHPNuke support has proven to be quite a task unto itself. I'm still entertaining offers for people out there who are somewhat knowlegdable w/ PostNuke to help me get a server setup for it and to port my blocks to that CMS.

give it a go and post back your results. it shouldn't be too much different.

even though they have all evolved from one CMS to another, some of the core features may or may not be there, and i know that gallery does not check for CMS's other than PHPNuke and Postnuke in it's own code. you have to hack the init.php or some other gallery files to let it work with Evolution.
