Download plugin

i would really like to see where the users have the option to download from the gallery...i think gallery is the best one out there ive tried them all..but i do like the download features in myegallery is there a way to adapt them to gallery..?

my guess is that would have to be introduced as a version of gallery, and not as an addon/block...that being the case i doubt dari would undertake that and would leave it to the developers of gallery over at http://gallery.menalto.com [menalto.com] to do so, plus there may be licensing/legality issues if he did want to do so, i would post it as a feature request at http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?atid=357130&group_id=7130&func=browse [sourceforge.net] that is if it isnt already a feature request

yes,this is out of my realm. i could make a hack, but am hesitant to without having it be an official add to the Gallery project (versioning issues, etc). i've done a couple other hacks for gallery that i've implemented on this site (mostly just admin stuff), and they are being folded into development versions of gallery...if you do a feature request, the devs are pretty good at following up.
