Dunno, but I am not a programmer nor am I code expert, just someone who is trying to run a news and entertainment site. I like Gallery, it is awesomely neat-o, but the documentation, installation and all the other goodies that i need to do to get it up and running, is so confusing...I just give up. Suggestion perhaps, read the "directions" to a 15 year old and see if he/she understand them then let me know and I will install Gallery immediately! Please don't assume anything.

I haven't a clue to install the required image manipulation goodies either btw. no instuctions with netpbm. I'll stick with the german version of the web gallery.

i merely suggested the paid solution as one alternative. it insures that you get Gallery installed properly the first time so that you don't have to wrestle with configurations, etc. another solution would be to search the forums at http://gallery.menalto.com (since they're the ones who write the software, not us), and post questions there.
