Logged out when accessing albums and admin issues

Hi, I've just gone though a fresh install of phpBB 3.0.4 and Galler 2.3 and then applied the patches. Everything seems to be up and running but i've had a few isssue...

1: When I log onto my forum an then go to the gallery, I am still logged in... However, as soon as I click on any of the albums in my gallery I loose my session and get logged out!?

2: I'f I go to the gallery as "admin" and then I try to go to the galley admin page I am redirected to the phpBB admin page... So I don't have acess to many of the gallery admin controls. Is this by design? or am I missing something???
