G2 in different location and still intergrate with phpnuke?

Is this possible?

To explain the situation. I have Gallery2 installed in the root of my domain www.beatsyou.com and I have a phpnuke portal installed on reconstruction.beatsyou.com

I only want to keep 1 gallery on its location where it is now and still to be intergrated in phpnuke. Is this possible or is it really nessecary to move the G2 files to the phpnuke modules folder?

G2 must be in phpnuke's modules directory for the integration to function.
