As of tonight, I moved from phpnuke to Wordpress. So you can no longer see my site as described below.
Hey guys, figured I'd drop a post of my website where I just upload pictures for my friends and I to see from various events that we all goto. I also have forums, which none of my friends really care to use, and I also post updated and stuff... thats about it. But I figure I'd show off the layout mainly since I THINK it works really well together.
Link Removed
Is the address, browse around, check out the layout and everything, and please, if you have any comments (good or bad (I'll try to fix the bad ones)) then leave them and I'll be sure to read them.
Thanks for checking it out!
-Robert

nice page glad it doesn't have the 'typical' wordpress look and feel
i'm trying to find another backend to run on this site, but i've got so much friggin' data here (my db is something like 200MB, not as big as some, but big enough for me) that a migration plan is too daunting for me to undertake on my own. _________________

btw, slick watermark on your images. how did you create it? (i've got photoshop cs2 and paint shop pro x at home, but haven't been able to create a decent looking wm yet...i'm still learning ) _________________

Hahah, thanks for the complements Dari.
The watermark was created by one of my friends who is in Graphic Design and now works for the Canadian Government designing billboards, brochures, etc..
If you'd like, I can see if he'll make one for you. As I understand, it doesn't take that long (just slap some text, with a good font, onto a transparent background and your set).
As for looking for a new backend, what I did is I went to opensourcecms [opensourcecms.com] and figured; 'Okay, I don't need forums, and I don't really need multiuser support, I don't need voting, I don't need calender...' (cuz none of my friends where using it) so I then figured all I really need is a blog. I then demoed all the blogs they had and wordpress was my fav.. (That and it said on the gallery2 site that the integration package was stable. That was a bonus.)
I was thinking about using Joomla, have you looked into that one? I've heard good things.
P.S. Short URL's rule. Can't believe I didn't use them before when I had nuke. If I knew how awesome they where I would have worked on enabling them for sure.

yeah, problem is that this site is mainly forums, with a download manager as well, and other custom modules. unfortunately, i may have to move to a strictly phpbb based engine (due to the heavy reliance on forums), which is still pretty bulky, but much less so than phpnuke. the gallery page moved to drupal, but had to heavily modify it to do what they want. now i just need to find a month or two of free time to do the migration _________________
