Well, try to do this in an own thread..
Read all the other topics concerning this, but could not find an answer that could help me...

I have installed phpNuke 7.8 on my server, togheter with Gallery 2.1 and the integration.
The install worked as it should, and I did not have any troubles, before I was going to make changes and add photo/albums etc.

In phpNuke administration, I exported all the users, and when I am logged in as admin, I am correctly identified as "root", as the username I chose for my admin.
When trying to make any changes, wheter it is configuration/albums/photo etc, I am chopped of by the error message:
Code: ›
Security Violation

The action you attempted is not permitted.

Back to the Gallery

At first, I tried to do the same actions over and over again, deleted cookies etc... But nothing helped.
The odd thing, is that the changes I do apply, realy goes through.. Even though the error message lets me know other..

I have not yet installed setinel, so this could not be a possible cause for me, even though I belive I will install it later.

Some guidance to what to do now, would be very nice. I have to be ready with my work on this before the holiday is over, since this domain is to my schoolclass... Wink

Lasse-edit:
I almost uninstalled Gallery now, but just as an last effort to get this issue solved, I thought maybe the system info could help??
Well, this is the output from Gallery:
Code: › Gallery-versjon = 2.1 kjerne 1.1.0

Webserver = Apache/1.3.34 (Unix) mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.4 PHP/4.4.1 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 mod_ssl/2.8.25 OpenSSL/0.9.7a
Database = mysql 4.1.18-standard, lock.system=flock

Browser = Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; nb-NO; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060324 Ubuntu/dapper Firefox/1.5.0.1

I'm in the same predicament, I changed the install from a multi site to a single site install but that did not do the trick either.

I still have the problem, but I have found that it only shows the Access Denied if I have the gallery2 modules viewing option in phpnuke set to Administrator only.

you might want to check the cookie path you have in your config. odds are that g2 isn't seeing your admin info in the cookie, and is denying you the rights to perform the actions you want. you may also want to clear your db cache as well (g2 site admin -> maintainance)

Hi Dari, I followed you suggestion and played with the cookie path and it worked fine for a while and then changed again with out apparent reason, at least to me Smile
Could you take a look at my paths and see if I'm mixing something up.
phpnuke is at
www.alfredky.com/pp
Gallery is at
www.alfredky.com/pp/modules/gallery2
www.alfredky.com/pp/modules.php?name=gallery2
and I set the cookie path to pp/
Thanks for all the help!

Dari,
I don't know if this will give you a clue. when I open phpnuke I get one cookie for owner@pp and when I go into the gallery I get another cookie for owner@pp but the second ones content is vastly different then the first one. When uploading an image it will generate yet another cookie which is internally different from the other two.

try /pp as the cookie path, instead of pp/
