customized integration?

Hello,

I am only interested in having my phpBB members able to comment on photos in my Gallery, but not able to upload their own pictures.

I haven't installed the package download for integration because I don't want full integration.

Is there any easy way to do this?

set the permissions in G2 so that only the admin can upload images.

OK, working on installing it.

I already installed gallery2 and phpbb, and they are not in the same directories. Will this be a problem?

search the forums. it's been done, though it is recommended that you install g2 within your phpbb2 directory.

I probably would have done that if I'd installed gallery or phpbb BEFORE I found out about this integration thing.

I get to the gallery 2 administration page but cannot get my settings to work for configuration.

My webspace looks like this:

gallery:
/web/images/APO/ezaa/gallery/gallery2/

phpBB:
/web/htdocs/APO/ezaa/forum/

Nothing I can think of to put in those lines will work. I keep getting an error about require_once(/embed.php)

Maybe I should also add that if you are just viewing the website then the file paths look different, like this:

gallery:
www.url.com/images/gallery/gallery2/

phpBB:
www.url.com/forum/

move g2 into /web/htdocs/APO/ezaa/forum/ and reconfigure g2 standalone, then do the integration.

OK, now I have

/web/htdocs/APO/ezaa/forum

and

/web/htdocs/APO/ezaa/forum/gallery/gallery2

and I still can't get configuration to work Neutral

This is odd. I have G2 and phpbb in totally seperate directories and have had zero issues. Actually G2 and PHPBB are in sister directories at the same level. Sounds like something screwy with yer setup.

Looking at your setup and your earlier description of your URL's it looks as if you are misconfigured.
