i would like to enquire if Gallery supports a function whereby registered users can actually upload their photos into an album which they can create online. kinda like instead of only the admin being able to create albums and upload photos, registered users of the site are being allowed to do the same thing too.
if it is possibe, may i know how to use it? |

Hmn - with 1.3.5 users can take ownership (control, edit, delete) of uploaded photos. So as long as you allow (in permissions) for LOGGEDIN to have access to an album (with upload access) and you have set up the appropriate setting in the config (new setting in 1.3.5 / owner settings) you shoule be OK.
However - I don't think it is possible for users to create an album and use it as their OWN - as other LOGGEDIN users will be able to upload in to it as well - but only control their own photos they have uploaded. |

| actually, i think you can do this. you can set the "view" perm to EVERYBODY, but the edit/etc perm to an individual user that you create within gallery... |

Sorry - I read the question as 'could a newly registered users create and administer a gallery album wthout the admin setting permissions?'
I would think having to set up individual albums, permissions, etc for each registered user would be a NIGHTMARE!!! (unless you've only got 4 members )
Which is why I said having one album that everyone (registered) could upload to, but using OWNER would stop anyone deleting/editing someone elses photos |

| agreed...the user database between Nuke and Gallery is not tightly integrated. supposedly, in Gallery2, this issue will be addressed and Nuke users will automatically be registered in the Gallery database (and would have their respective permissions). |
