Misinformation in Wizard and Docs

Hi

I have been unable to install this program because the Wizard says...

Error: You must create empty file .htaccess and chmod it 777 before proceeding.

But the Docs say...

chmod 777 albums (this is the album dir created in step 2)
chmod 666 .htaccess
chmod 666 config.php
chmod 755 setup/ (setup/ is a directory)

So which is it 666 or 777...

I have tried both and still get the...

after 4 hours I have given up... it's seems to be an excellent program but unfortunately I can't get it to work... I am on a Unix server... and I am installing it into phpNuke modules... or rather trying to install it....

If anyone can clarify the chmod and mabey tell me why I am getting the error I would really appreciate it... I do have an empty .htaccess file in the gallery folder and I have tried both 777 and 666... but no joy thus far...
