i've yet to get a copy of NSN-Nuke, though my understanding is that the base system is derived from PHPNuke (it all occured back when there was a big flap over the PHPNuke club, etc). If this is the case, and the module system remains similar to the existing PHPNuke module system, then yes, NSN-Nuke will be supported.
Right now, we support PHPNuke (obviously) and basic PostNuke issues (integration, installation). No support is provided, yet, for PostNuke blocks (as just a select few from this site have been ported). But, I hope to get some free time this weekend or next to sit down and port more blocks to PostNuke and offer more support for that CMS. NSN-Nuke will come after that. _________________

Your facts are right. It started with PHP-Nuke 6.5 as the base.
It looks really great and is much cleaner than the original. It also includes a real group system, perfect in my optinion for G2 integration!
Try a look, it is worth it. |

i fully intend to, once it is out of beta. depending on the benefits of using it over PHPNuke (ie less DB queries/page, etc), I may switch the engine of this site over to it. _________________

Hi Dari,
Did you had any chance to try NSN-Nuke, as it is out now for sometime?
I really miss Gallery for my (test) website using NSN-Nuke.
Besides, to get a great overview about what exists for NSN-Nuke, WarpSpeed.de is hosting, I would say 95% of the existing addons
Only the fixed version of the Private MEssages Modul, Work Board. Work Probe, Work Request and Project are missing, besides some not yet translated france stuff.
But all this is available for public to.
CU,

it's the same as for PHPNuke integration. i do have an NSNNuke site: http://nsnnuke.nukedgallery.net , but GraniteCanyon hasn't been working for several months so my records can't be updated. i'm in the process of finding a new (free) DNS service...any suggestions? (currently, zoneedit is #1 on my list). _________________

Dari,
Are you sure? I looked only shortly into the DB stuff from gallery, because after installing gallery on NSN-Nuke 1.0.0 I got db errors.
I think after comparing the database the reason could be PHP-Nuke uses "nuke_users" als table, but NSN-Nuke uses "nukea_users".
I am not so deep into this as you, make this sense?
Besides, http://nsnnuke.nukedgallery.net is not working1?
Thanks in advance,

DNS is the system that resolves canonical names (like www.nukedgallery.net) to IP addresses. and the NSNNuke demo site is indeed not working at least to outside users (i can see it just fine). i'm in the process of moving my DNS services to a new provider, and once the propogation is complete, the site should be online.
but, when i did a Gallery install in NSNNuke, I got no errors. i'll check again once the site is up for all to see... _________________

i have a static IP address for this site, it's just a matter of updating my DNS entry to reflect the new nsnnuke.nukedgallery.net address and since GC is down, i'm hosed
i'm using the original googletap here, not upgrading to NG until it's out of beta. _________________

Thanks for the link dari. But thise informatio still not solve my problem. Let me try to tell why.
With the changes in PHP-Nuke 6.5 the following occured:
"nuke_uname" (before 6.5) became "nuke_username" (6.5)
etc. you know about this.
The change I am talking about between PHP-Nuke and NSN-Nuke is as following:
"nuke_username" (PHP-Nuke) is in NSN-Nuke now "nukea_username"
With other words, the user_prefix changed. But only for this part of the database. Therefore, it is not possible to change the whole prefix from "nuke" to "nukea".
Instead I tried to get it work with modificatiosn to the init.php as this file is responsible for these value.
I added the needed "a" like this: $GLOBALS['user_prefix'] . 'a_';
But this also was not working and I am running out of ideas. Do you have one?

Cool! If it makes not to much work for you, i'd like to understand what you did, in order to fix it the next time by my own.
Do you see a possibilty to include your fix in a way to gallery, that the default version will also work with NSN-Nuke for the future?
