if you want, i can quickly code something up that will create a link to gallery in the main admin CP, but it will take you to the gallery admin panel.

Yeah I can do that too. Its not too much of a bother.

Another thing is that it doesnt appear to be wanting to use the PHP-Nuke user data. Once it is configured I cant log back in to change something.
When I open up the user data file I see nothing of the user it said it created when it was configured.
I also see it using the Gallery user database a lot in the code instead of picking the correct class.

Any suggestions?

set the disable register_global check to "yes" in your gallery config to take care of the login/logout thing.

the user files in the gallery directory are NOT used when gallery is emebedded, so you won't see the nuke users. gallery pulls directly from the nuke db when embedded.

Yes, it does work. I trusted you. It worked. Now when my nuke user is logged in and goes into gallery, their name shows.

But...it seems like in an earlier version, I, as the admin, could assign ownership to certain albums I created. I'm not able to do this now since gallery only 'borrows' the user data -- doesn't retain it. (btw, I'm using 1.52 pl2). I can't 'create' a user in gallery since I don't know what the user's passwords are and therefore, can't assign ownership.

My objective: to create albums for certain contributors then give them rights to view, add, delete and add nested albums.

Any guidence would be great!

Thanks!

you should do this all through the integrated install...log into your phpnuke site as the god admin. go to your gallery. create a new album. click the "permissions" link and assign the desired user as the owner and give that user the desired permissions.

You know...I thought I did that but evidently not. Now...I just need to think of a way to gather up all your posts and come up with an FAQ for php integration so you can focus on more important things!

Thanks!
