Ive been using this gallery for a while then all of a sudden I start to get errors. I completely deleted the gallery, and tried to do a fresh install, when i go to the install page I get this at the top:

Warning: exec() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/thexbcl/public_html/xbc/modules/gallery/setup/functions.inc on line 755

Here is the link:
http://www.x-designz.org/xbc/modules/ga ... /index.php

and when i try to upload images to a album, I get this error:
Processing status...

- Adding mypicture.jpg
Resizing/compressing original image
No resizing required
Warning: exec() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/thexbcl/public_html/xbc/modules/gallery/platform/fs_unix.php on line 34

I would apperciate a little help on this, as I have no clue why this error is happening, I am also working with my host to resolve this problem, and they have enables exec, and have reduce my security to help it out.

Thank again,

if you're getting that error, the host has disabled php's exec() functionality.

from http://www.x-designz.org/xbc/modules/ga ... hpinfo.php :
your phpinfo wrote: › disable_functions dl,exec,passthru,proc_open,proc_close,shell_exec,system

so they DO have it disabled somewhere in the php.ini or when they did the build of php on the server.

They told me "Hi

You are looking at the wrong column. You should look at the local value column i.e for your site. We are not going to disable it for the whole server, just for your site."

So on http://www.x-designz.org/xbc/modules/ga ... hpinfo.php
in the local, nothing is disabled, so why would i still be getting this error?

they are not going to disable it for the whole server, just your site? that means that your site will not be able to use those functions. if they meant "We are not going to enable it for the whole server, just for your site", then you should be ok. however, the "local" column is blank, it should probably be set to "no value".
