I had the same problem.. I followed the instructions.. had to guess where the included files had to go and assumed 'root' meant the root directory of phpbb3.
So this meant I copied gallery2.php into my root forum page. But I still get the
'Language file gallery2.php couldn't be opened' when I click on ACP_GALLERY2 in the admin ACP.
I tried moving gallery2.php to the language directory.. no go.
Where the heck is this file supposed to go?
Actually the instructions say...
After installing all files and mods, browse to acp->system->acp->general->board config->add module gallery2 settings - then enable the module
To configure the integration, browse to acp->general->board config - gallery2 settings
'gallery 2 settings' was never an option so I used ACP_GALLERY2 which was the only gallery2 item to choose from.
Maybe this is wrong??? confusing...
PS. I did a fresh install of Gallery 2.2.4 which workes in stand alone mode.
phpbb is 3.0.0.
So both phpbb and gallery work fine on there own, and I have made the file edits and copied the various files as per the integration instructions.
Thanks |

You are confused and having a hard time because you in fact have not followed the instructions. The author notes in integration.xml tell you to follow the instructions in contrib/readme.html. This file tells you step by step how to install the integration and where all the files go.
I'll admit the file/directory structure is somewhat confusing, but that is the way the phpbb3 mods db requirements are. You just need to carefully read all the instructions. |

Thanks Jettyrat,
Yes I missed the instructions in contrib/readme.html and the last note in the DIY.
I should be back on track.
Thanks! |
