Stuck at Step 4; can no longer change anything on my board

Basically, I've gotten up to step 4 with no troubles, except now I am unable to change anything on the board. I can login to my profile and the ACP just fine, and I can try to make changes, but whenever I click "Yes" on a confirmation page I just get redirected to the forum index and the change does not happen. I can't even delete posts and the like. I'm using a fresh install of phpBB3 3.0.0 and Gallery 2.2.

EDIT: Almost forgot to mention that I could make changes before trying the integration.

Never heard of this one before...Are you still logged in when redirected to the forum index? Maybe a cookie issue or some bungled mod code somewhere.

Yes, I'm still logged in when I'm redirected to the index. And I actually did the entire phpbb3 installation and integration attempt over twice before coming here, so I'm relatively sure I didn't fuck up in the exact same spot twice in a row.

EDIT: Oh, and I have a fair bit of experience installing phpbb3 mods - I had a phpbb3RC7 board going that I was using just for the purpose of modding and messing around with, at I had it working fine.

Hmm, I've never experienced this myself since phpBB3 beta and dozens of installations, nor has it been reported here before, so I'm not sure what to tell you.

So, you are not able to install and activate the Gallery 2 module in the phpbb ACP? Or it does this after the module is installed and activated? Because the integration isn't really doing anything in the ACP until after the module is in there. That's why I was wondering about code mod problems.

Well, I can't change any of the things I tried to in the ACP, and I also tried deleting posts and I cannot do that either. So far, I've been able to do things that don't have a Yes/No confirmation page - whenever I hit "Yes" on one of them is when I get redirected to the forum index.

I have used this mod daily on a "live" phpBB3 testboard (>40 users and > 1600 posts) for a couple of months now. I have never seen this problem. Try the integration once more from "vanilla" phpBB3 files? (That's what I use to do when things are not working Wink

)

Well, I'll probably end up trying that yet again, I'm just trying to put it off for a while longer, having tried it twice now already >.>.

Well, I did it a third time, and it's working. As far as I can tell I only did two things different, and it seems to me neither of them should have affected the bug: I didn't do the subsilver2 style mods, as I won't be using it, and I checked to see if I could still change things on the forums after every file change - I guess observing the process changed it, eh ;P?

You must have been doing something wrong along the way. I have both style mods installed on two different machines and can switch between them without problem.
