Gallery Integration Error!!

Hi there, i have installed gallery2 and the intergration pack but when i view gallery2.php i get this error message:

Gallery Integration Error
File: /usr/home/djsy/public_html/community/g2helper.inc
Line: 44
Could not obtain config settings from phpbb_gallery2.

Could anyone help me??

Hi there
I have the same problem !

Installed phpBB3 and Gallery2. Used the preinstaller for Gallery2 and the integration package.

I'm curious as to why no one has posted a fix for this or at least pointed us in the right direction. I'm have the same issue. It's rather annoying.

I assume it's because the current intergration package download is an old one for the "olympus" version of PHPBB3. There currently isn't one for the RC4 version Sad

we're all waiting with baited breath for some bright spark to write it

I guess I'll post here as no one seems to want to do it.

This works just fine with RC4. The above error was caused by something very simple.

When you go into the ACP and click on Gallery 2 Settings, there are 5 buttons here. (Note: This page will not display in it's current state in Firefox. Only in IE)

When you click on the Configure Settings button, you MUST click submit here. I just hit cancel or went to another page in the ACP as when I look at a configuration of something, if no changes are necessary I don't bother with it. However, this requires you to hit Submit so it can find the full path to embed.php.

Once I did this, I continued on to the next button in the list Link Settings. And so on.

After doing the above, everything works just fine now. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one to come across this solution. Hell I just found Gallery 2 and this integration 2 days ago. I have to admit I'm slightly disappointed that such an easy fix for the above error has never been posted.

I hope I was able to help at least someone out. A good rule of thumb to follow is, if you resolve your own issue...share the knowledge of how you fixed it. Your information could save hundreds of people the frustration!

Which integration pack mod are you using?
The download link points to version 0.0.3 released on 10 April 2007. I have been unable to get this to work with any of the RC's as it was written for the Beta versions and there have been significant changes to PHPBB3.
Has anyone got any idea if there is a current way to get gallery 2 working with phpBB3?

Are you sure it's RC4 you're working with and not beta4? There are loads of changes needed to the integration package to get it to work with RC4.

I think I've got most of it working with RC4 now.
Except the images in the user profiles - can't get anywhere with those. There's a problem in the g2helper.inc file, but I don't know how to sort it.

Be warned, it's untested, but I have got a zip file that I think will work with RC4

The majority of the integration is easy. I made the changes to the proSilver theme. Granted, some of the code had to be slightly changed, and this is not FULLY functional...

The gallery portion works just fine. No issues as of yet, and I'm running live. I'd offer up a link but it's a private site.

Some portions that are integrated into phpBB don't work, such as Gallery: in the profile, but that's simply an issue with the fact I was unable to add that info to the files when I was modifying. Just a simple difference in the codes.
