Hello Dari,

It seems there is a bug! Could you please get a large spray can out and have a go over the code and see where it is and whats causing it?

Surely use the same way Nuke Sentinal checks for version updates would be much better?

where by you put a version.txt on your website and if you increase the number then a new version is available !?

I have found that if you visit the gallery admin once installed and click verify it wipes the tables Sad

rather than checking it :/

Therefor I feel a bug fix release would be in need ? I'm sure some might agree! Thanks for posting on this issue all without some of your input... My headace would of lasted quite a while !

I have the latest integration version and uploaded it twice but it still says that my version is old. I saw that I can change the version number to fix this but can't figure out how to locate the value I need to change.

Also, how do I drop the nuke_g2config? I tried looking through the database using myphpadmin but can't find it anywhere?

thanks anyway...I found it...it was a weird name xxxx_g2config and not nuke

I have absolutely no idea where to find this nuke_g2config or the variable nuke_g2configurationdone variable. I have a db folder in my public_html folder which I have searched through for this file, not finding it, I proceeded to search the contents of each file to no avail. In the admin panel of my phpnuke site, I did click the export users button, was presented with a dialog with an orange status bar. What am I doing wrong, or where can i find this config file?

Hi all.

I have been stuffing around for weeks on and off trying to get past the module not configured message. i have left it alone for a few weks now and came back to it yesterday.

I have done all the stuff again and again when i clicked the icon in admin for my site (php based admin) it shows the paths ans cookies link ok but when clicked it just goes off to a blank page and thats all. then you get the not config when you access via the link.

Today i have sorted it Yippee !!

This is what i did.

totally removed the gallery2 folder from modules.
removed all the installer for nuke bits from all the folders.
My first attemps were with the full package gallery package, i have today dumped that and gone for the typical english package.

1 open modules and create a new file called gallery2
2 open ftp to my site
3 open ftp page as windows page (just easier for me to work with)
4 open the gallery folder on my PC and drag n drop each folder to the ftp page/gallery2 folder (in the modules directory)
5 once every files has copied from descktop to website i the opened my website to the install folder EG www.mysite.co.uk/modules/gallery2/install.
6 when the installer opened i went to the cpanel user interface of my host package and created a data base in mysql EG photos and a password.
7 start the installer and do as it says (i had a small database problem, on my old host the DB would just have been photos as i set it but on my new host it adds a prefix in front which caught me out) EG user Photos becomes "site1-Photos" once i added the site1- part i was able to proceed.
8 i also had to amend the file size allowance but i guess most of you are past that part.
9 once you get to the end of the installer your done but not working if you like me are using nuke.
10 reopen the ftp page again
11 down load the php nuke package and add the bits to all the main directors as they are layed out in the phpnuke installer eg open the admin folder (these are the folders under public-html)
12 i am using the 8.0 version of nuke so DO NOT add the contents of the admin folder in the nuke installer the case and link folders.
13 when these were completed i opened my php admin and the gallery icon appears in the modules admin section.
14 open the modules panel and activate gallery2
15 now open the gallery2 panel and look at the urls boxes. changed nothing and clicked the box where it says "verify gallery2"
16 when the page changes click the return home link on the middle area of the page and do the side bar bit and return home.
17 now do the export users bit mine only had 2 so i just got an orange dot at the begining of the status bar (it looked frozen) then i notice the box saying close page.
18 after closing the page i then and only then clicked the galley link in my home page..............about time...........it works........

A note about themes my site is sort of black and grey, the blocks have a brushed ally edge and the background is a crumpled leather look with carbon fibre effect in the text boxes.

the only theme i can get working almost correctly is carbon. it either matches very well or picks up my theme. some of the text goes behind the edges where it says user EG Guest.

and in the gallery admin the carbon pattern is present but the text is un-readable so i have to guess which button is SAVE.
all the other themes open my page but have an ugly white pannel to the left with the pictures in and the background around that page turns PINK?

woot i i got this post helped at first i was like drop nuke_g2config what the hack is that where do i get this file i need to drop in some place. after going though everything found out its to drop it from the database i new to this database stuff i don't know what drop ment. i got it working i see the test images in phpnuke now so i all happy.

To help other newbies:

The Nuke_G2Config is a table in the main phpnuke database, not the gallery2 database... Find it, and select 'Drop' from PhPMyAdmin. Then repeat the admin settings for G2.

I dropped the table mentioned above and now I can´t access my administration page anymore. I just get a blank page and no way to sign in. In fact, my whole site vanished.
