Please help - RSS Feeds/Backend.php

Please help me, when I call the backend.php file I get the following:

XML Parsing Error: xml declaration not at start of external entity

Any ideas? I did a search and there was a partial message that it might have to do with blank lines, but the message thread dissappeared.
