I installed Gallery 2 in RavenNuke yesterday and it works fine. They both play nicely together. No problems!
I installed it on another host and there were a number of differences. For starters I had to change the installer for Gallery 2. See this post http://gallery.menalto.com/node/51036 [menalto.com]
The solution provided by the Gallery guys worked. However, I notice that my host hasn't got php configured with the gettext function enabled. This doesn't worry me though, because the site is targeted at people who speak English.
Nonetheless, after installing the nukedgallery bits and pieces, I go to the admin panel and it says "Access Denied" and I only have access to a few modules; backup database, banners, blocks, Edit Admins and edit groups. None of the others are visible and it says "Access Denied" at the top. How weird!
After searching the access denied error I noticed that the solution for many was to uninstall the "rewrite module". It doesn't even seem to be installed..
I installed the "simple" or "basic" version of gallery.. The small one that is..
Any help would be appreciated. I suspect this host I use..
