Add download link below pic?

Well, I'm using my gallery as a download section and was wondering how I can add a link to the download in my pictures description. My site is a template download site and I'm using the gallery as a preview of the template but I want a download link to appear below the picture. Here is an example [nukecops.com].
As you can see there is a link below the picture leading to the download. When I tried to add one into the description area it displayed the html code [url=http://www.[/url]

yes, just use the "caption" field, and include the html code to the download link.

Well, it didn't seem to work. I went to the album. Clicked the menu below the pic and selected "edit text". I added the html link into the caption area and it still displays the code instead of a clickable link. Confused

what version of Gallery? if you look here [nukedgallery.net], you'll see the caption "test" is a hyperlink. make sure you use HTML code, not bbcode, for your URL hyperlinks.

Wow, I was using bbcode. I am such an HTML noob. Laughing

Anyway, I also have another question. My gallery seems to be logging me out a lot automatically. Is this something that involves that register_global stuff?

yes, switch it off in the gallery config
