G2 Block item

Ok, this is really ticking me off, what file do I need to edit in order to change the contents of the G2sidebar? I want to remove the search form field because it's blowing out my tables.

I just can't seem to figure out where that file has that content in it to remove that part of it.

oh, note the "edit" instructions at the top, and you can also simply disable the search module in the gallery admin.

Thanks dari, one more Q then.

Where it says:
" * If you want to customize this file, do not edit it directly since future upgrades
* may overwrite it. Instead, copy it into a new directory called "local" and edit that
* version. Gallery will look for that file first and use it if it exists."

Is it saying "local" under the template directory or under the gallery2 directory?

try in the template directory first.
