phpBB standalone integration with phpnuke database

Hi Dudies,

I was looking for a feature, and found (i think) the old nukedgallery site. I search into google and got some results pointing to there:

dari seen to be the admin from this website too, so I think he is da man who did the phpBB standalone integration with the PHPNuke... I read about a tutor explain that, but everthing seen to be offline.

I am trying doing this with my site... dari, if u still have the tutor, please, share with us ^^

hehe, yep, that's me. with the move to the new server, i didn't have time to move the phpnuke.nukedgallery.net site as well (i was able to transfer this site with just 2 hours before my DSL connection was cut off at my hold house). hold tight, i'll get it back up online soon Smile

I finally found the hard disk with the database on it. dusted it off, reassembled the old server, got it up and running last night. i've got to do some updates to portage [gentoo.org] and then i'll grab the tutorial and post it here.

I used to have the file edit instructions/tutorial as well as the premodded files (my phpBB is pretty modded though, so the tutorial would be better for me albeit a lot more work LOL)....

I've searched and searched for the file edit tutorial for months as my HD took a dive and now it's all gone. Rolling Eyes

I finally found this thread today, was wondering what had happened to phpnuke.nukedgallery.net (or whatever the exact URL was, LOL), did a Google search and found an article at http://ravenphpscripts.com/article407.html but it refers to http://phpnuke.nukedgallery.net/phpBB2/ftopic9.html and http://phpnuke.nukedgallery.net/phpBB2/ftopic31.html which of course don't exist anymore. So I got "smart" and looked up your main domain rather than the subdomain. Cool

ANYHOOO.... I don't want to "bug" but (LOL) any status on the integration of STANDALONE phpBB to work with PHP-Nuke rather than using the ported phpBB (which sucks IMNSHO) ??? I've tried other "tweaks" posted in numerous support forums and none of them work the way SO many of us want phpBB to be "IN" Nuke but still be the REAL phpBB rather than the ported piece of crud.

(I've got Nuke 7.6 installed in a "test" directory for now; I don't want people to register or even use the Nuke until I can get my Nuke and standalone phpBB to work properly, so that my current phpBB users, posts, etc., will be in the Nuke database properly and all that other stuff. My phpBB is the latest version (2.0.14 isn't it?) but as I said, it's pretty heavily modded so although I know it's a lot of work/time the tutorial you had/have is what I'd need rather than the premodded files you'd had for download once upon a time.)

yep, that's what the tutorial is...getting the real phpbb working in nuke, so you can ditch the forums/private messages/memberlist modules Smile
