| I'm having the similar issue. Before gallery would work with the users on my site. So I had it set to where only certain users had permissions to certain albums. Now that integration seems to be gone. Before I could login as admin to the site and it would inturn log me into gallery as admin. Where does it pull the user list from Postnuke? |

| Thats what I thought, I never had it before and was suprised to see how limited the integration was. At least I know now that it used to be. Are you using postnuke .750? I am. |

Yeah I just upgraded to it and now the gallery is fubar. I mean it still works but I had some private albums that were invitation only and those dont show up anymore. I have to go into the stand alone gallery and login from there which defeats the point of integration. |

In response to Special Ed. I just!!! installed the 1.4.4pl2 on Pn7.5.0
This will not solve the problem of being logged in as a user or an admin and not seeing the menu Items for Adding photo or albums etc ....but as an admin you can log into the gallery directly and have all the functions.
(assuming Postnuke is installed into your main directory)
First you have to go to
Http://yoursitename.com/modules/gallery/login.php
login as admin name and pass ....Even if you login and it just looks like it just refreshed the page and didnt log you in - IT WILL LOG YOU IN, Then Go to
Http://yoursitename.com/modules/gallery/index.php
From here you will be able to administer/create your gallery.
I'm still trying to figure out why you cant see the basic functions while logged into PostNuke as an admin or a user. DARI, I cant make sence of what that guy wrote on the sourceforge forum.
Hope this helped. |

yeah, thats what I used to do but then I decided to just re-upload the init.php file and see what happens and then it worked perfectly just like it used to and I really can't tell yah why but it works
give it a try and let us know if it worked for you as well. |

Hi all!
If you are using PostNuke 7.5 with Gallery there is a function in Admin / Settings Called "Enable support for legacy modules".
If this is enabled the Menu in Gallery dissapear, but if not there are some really ugly URL's in the Gallery views but you have the menu at the top.
I also tried the solution with logging in via:
http://yoursitename.com/modules/gallery/login.php
For me this is not possible as gallery won't accept my admin account. The embedding appears to restrict this.
All in all it comes down to solving either the missing menu or the short URL's.
Best regards
Jens L

With PostNuke .750 and gallery-1.44-pl4, gallery generates HTML as if it is not inside of nuke--search form at the top and bad layout of the next-previous-page# links.
I didn't have any admin options until I set PostNuke to "Enable support for legacy modules" but the output was always funny.
I'm about to dig through the code but I haven't messed with either PostNuke or gallery. |

I found that I could (Partially) overcome this problem as follows:
Activate "Legacy Modules"
In Permissions I added Component 'gallery::', Instance '.*', and Permissions level 'Admin' the bad news is that this gives users admin privilages to Gallery. Unfortunately, giving them "delete" privilages doesn't allow them to do anything.
If I understood the permissions system in PostNuke better, I might be able to make it work. |

What version if the Gallery are You using. I have tested the newest on my home server and it works fine. I have even found an integration module for PostNuke. I will get back to this when I get back home.
Until later
