hi guys,
something is weird with my gallery. basically this is what i did today. installed phpnuke 6.5, installed gallery and installed the Your_Account_Tweak_650. everything is fine except for the gallery. i've successfully inserted the Gallery as a module, and it's showing up on the left side of the screen. thing is, i can't upload to the gallery. shouldn't i be able to? this is my assumption - any user registered in my pHpNuke should be able to upload photos and create albums in my gallery module. please correct me if i'm wrong.
if i were to visit gallery as a standalone (without going through the modules), i can login as admin and add users. but shouldn't there be user integration between gallery and phpnuke?
or did i miss a very important step somewhere? like not setting access rights/not configuring gallery correctly?
thanks in advance for any help!

i'm not sure how tight the user database integration is between Gallery and PHPNuke. The way i've always uploaded the photos is either via the Gallery Remote or via the standalone page. i hear that the user integration will be tighter in Gallery2 _________________

You will need to be logged in as nuke admin before you can administer the gallery.
login through yourdomain.com/admin.php
Once you are logged in the backend as admin, when you go to the gallery module from your navigation you SHOULD see an array of facilities (links) to allow you to maintain the gallery like, UPLOAD, ADD NEW ALBUMS, etc.
Can you see these links by each album, photo, etc? |

i read his question as how other users could upload photos, etc.
yes, when you're logged into nuke as admin, you will be logged into gallery as God and will have full control over the gallery in the nuke context. _________________

Perhaps he needs to set user permissions while logged in as admin (by default only admin/god can upload, amend, delete, etc)?
BOYAN - after logging on as admin (domain.com/admin.php), then clicking on permissions while in the gallery module, do you see a list of users or is it just blank? |

| In the albums that you want people to be able to add pictures in just select LOGGED IN from the menu on the left in permissions and give the "logged in" nuke users whatever permissions you want. |

You have to be logged in as the GOD admin, and then you can set the permissions on each album as to who can upload. It can be Everyone, Logged In, Nobody or you can assign a specific user. It is pretty cool.
Each album is set independantly, so you can maintain complete control.
And the Your Account tweak doesn't affect it, it is a great tweak. _________________ Deborah
