For some reason, the photo albums stopped displaying any images when using a Windows browser. I've tested in Windows 98, 2000, and XP. Mac browsers and Linux browsers seem to work fine. I notice this on several installations, but all on the same physical server. the thumbnails are just white blocks or black depending on the "background" in the settings. they are clickable, but the larger images are also white.
I removed all the albums and started over with just one, to test and the problem is occurring. I'm not sure what caused it. For a few days, it worked fine, and then I created an album for someone and they said they could not see the images. It was working for me, until I checked on a Windows browser and noticed the issue.
I'm running PHP-Nuke 6.8 on a Linux Redhat 7.3 installation, latest PHP 4.3.2
For an example http://www.legacyarea.com [legacyarea.com] and select Photo Albums from the left block. |

I don't know. I'll ask on my server forums. Is there a way to tell, otherwise? Is there a terminal command that would report the status? |

| Okay, the server uses CPanel which includes a hotlinking module to turn on/off by account and to select individual domains for specific toggling. I've turned it OFF. but the problem remains. Explorer 6 doesn't display the images. I'm looking through the Explorer settings to see if it's something there, but several others that use Windows have mentioned the problem. |

Hi,
I can see the pics on MAC IE5 but not on WinXP IE6.
Strangely I also have access to your ALBUMS directory - have you checked your permissions? |

Apparently, only Explorer for Windows is having the issue; probably something in the actual PHP-Nuke code that's doing this. Just haven't found any other forums where anyone has mentioned something similar from which I could extract a clue.
As for permissions, the only way I can prevent php scripting errors seems to be to make the directory 777. I've since gone in and turned off indexing for that directory. What permissions do you use? I'll try it and see if that makes any difference. I had wondered if a permission problem could cause this issue with IE6. Anyone on a Mac with MSN for OS X? I hear it uses IE6, so if it still was a problem on a Mac using MSN, then I'd have a little more to go on. |

| As far as I can tell, the problem is not related to php-Nuke. Any gallery I make exhibits this problem in IE6, whether I build it with v1.3.4, v1.3.4p|1, or the latest builds of 1.3.5. Guess I'll check at the manalto forums and see if anyone has see this behavior. |
