500 Intenal Server Error - just on navigation pics

Hi there,

Ive been using gallery for some time in my phpnuke site and now i have some strange problem. I can add photos etc, but all my navigation icons show a red x, when i try to access them with the url in a browser it says 500 Internal server error. I havent touched a thing and the rest of the gallery is working a charm.

I have tried to access the gallery folder and get the same. I have even set 777 as the chmod to check if it was that but it still comes up with the server error. I have accessed all the gallery folder via ftp with no problems but just cannot access the icons in the images folder.

Any ideas?

did you recently upgrade? i had this problem and the little gifs weren't there...

My host might have, i havent personally. Are you talking about phpnuke, or php?

all the files are in place, but i cant access it

No, like I said in my post above I havent touched Gallery yet the little gifs for navigation are not displaying.

The files are physically there and set to 755

I have also tried this with 777 but still no pictures showing up.

See if there is an .htaccess file in your IMAGES folder and delete it, if not look in the GALLERY root, try deleting that one, then try this link:

I renamed the htaccess file in the gallery root and it works. Thank you very much, that has been bugging me for ages Smile

renaming the htaccess file in your gallery root has one big side effect: instead of friendly URLs like yoursite.com/gallery/mycoolalbum/myneatpicture , you'll see yoursite.com/gallery/<loads of php stuff here> .

it will not adversly affect the functionality of your gallery in any other way.
