Problem in admin with my theme

Hi everyone,

I'm no programmer or web designer so please keep it simple. i can do things just don't get all the terms and stuff. I managed to sort out the module not configured message by myself and the memory too small on install by searching and reading.

BUT!

i have 2 problems with my set up. one is purely an admin hassell the other affects both site and admin view.

I am using nuke 8.0 and gallery2.
my main theme is dark with brushed ally trim around the blocks and when the blocks have content they are a dark grey with white text. The main back ground of the theme is a crumpled leather look.

The main display block in the centre where galley opens is the 1st problem in the bottom right corner it says display mode username/ guest.

the guest part doesn't fit on the page so reads "gue" how can i move this to say the centre of the page.

number2 this happens only in the gallery admin if you want to change the theme for example all is ok untill you want to save any changes you just can't read the text in the buttons, this also happens when adding an album or whatever.
How can i change the text colour in these buttons only?
