The plugins page never looks right.

This is so frustrating. I have done the integration three times now. Everything turns out right, except the gallery plugins page. Everything on that page is tiny. The fonts are at about 10%. Totally unreadable.

I have checked and rechecked my work. I don't think I could have made the exact same mistake three times.

When I check the source view I have two head sections and two body tags. No other page has two head sections and two body tags, so I believe I did the overall_header mods right.

Everything else looks and works fine including the "get more plugins" page which is a tab on the same page. The Phpbb3 portion of the page surrounding the plugins page is fine. It is just the gallery portion that is tiny. How can everything be integrated just fine with the exception of just one page?

I have been using the Carbon style with the Blue Bottle color pack, and Prosilver Phpbb3.

Does anybody have any insight or help here? Thanks.

Hmm...I just installed the carbon style and the blue bottle color pack on my test machine and it works just fine. The plugins page has the same font size as any other page and is perfectly readable and I only have one head section and one body section in the page source. Do you have other style or theme mods installed, phpbb or gallery?

Yup, yours is a thing of beauty Jettyrat. The only other mods I have done is put my own banner/header at the top of the forum linked to its own style sheet. It has some css controlled pull down menus etc. I commented out the logos in both gallery and the forum. I did that via the styles tab in the forum admin.

All the integration mods were done directly to the files with Emacs. When I added and configured the mod in the admin control panel my personal changes vanished which I know ( but don't understand ) has something to do with the cache.

Could my personal css be doing this, even though its link doesn't show up in overall_header any more. Could it be cached and doing this?

Also, why does only this page show two head sections and body tags? The mods to overall_header cover all the pages don't they? The plugins page doesn't get special treatment does it?

If your css file gets loaded first, then any subsequent css would override it. If it gets loaded last, then vice versa, yours would override any previous css settings.

Changing the style definitions has more to do with the *.cfg files in the style directories than the cache, but editing them through the acp should be ok. How did you edit the gallery image via the phpbb acp?

overall_header.html shows up on almost all phpbb pages, so it's odd that it only does this on one page. The plugins page does not get any special treatment as far as I know. You might try clearing the gallery cache, if you haven't already. Gallery admin->maintenance->delete template cache

Yes, I have cleared the cache to no avail. I am going to try again using all new downloads and no personal mods or css.

Something I have noticed is, in the prosilver.xml under File Copy Step 4 says:

Copy: root/styles/prosilver/theme/gallery_overrides.css
To: styles/prosilver/theme/gallery_overrides.css

The name of the file I have in my downloads is g2embed_overrides.css, which I notice is the one called by the css links in some cases.

Do I Have a css missing or do the instructions need to be changed and, is it possible that gallery_overrides.css is an old file that the plugins page is calling and not finding?

I noticed that if I change the fonts size in g2embed_overrides.css all the admin pages are affected with the exception of my wayward plugins page.

Of coarse none of this explains why I have two head sections and two body tags, which no doubt is at the root of the problem. No double the css in the second head section is screwing things up, but I'm just thinking out loud and thought I would point out the file name discrepancy.

That's a typo...it should be g2embed_overrides.css...thanks for pointing that out!

I don't know what to tell you about the 2 head sections...mine doesn't do that. Is that on every page or just the plugins page?

The two head sections and two body tags just happen on the plugins page. As you pointed out above the plugins page gets no special treatment - so whats going on with that?

This is nuts. I just redid the integration with new virgin downloads. I dumped the databases that they were on ( Phpbb3 and Gallery are on two separate databases, which is ok - right? ) and started everything over again. I didn't do any personal mods and did not add any styles - AND got the exact same results!! Right down to the two head sections and two body tags just in the plugins section.

This is driving me nuts!!!

I can't be making the exact same mistake over and over again. ( And what would that mistake have to be to get the plugins page to be treated differently? ) I did everything very methodically and checked it before saving anything.

I assume you've tried clearing the browser cache, right?

Have you tried a different browser?

Does it do that on all themes or just the carbon theme?

Can you post an excerpt of the page source with the two head sections? Just want to see if it is phpbb or gallery generating the head data.

Thanks jettyrat. I don't know why I didn't think of it, but it is browser specific. Firefox doesn't render the page properly while Opera and Konqueror do.

Geez all that and it is was the browser.

OK, any ideas on how I can change that ? I have dumped all cookies and personal data etc.

Firefox has a cached page somewhere that it keeps giving you.

Tools->Clear Private Data should do it. Or Tools->Options->Advanced->Network->Cache->Clear Now

I am still getting the two head sections and the dual body tags. Are you still interested in looking at the source? I tried posting the source but the post was rejected because of the tags.

I could do do a screenshot, but how do you do attachments here?

Hmm...I don't know why yours is doing that, but it seems to be specific to your particular browser because mine doesn't do it and nobody else has reported this before.

The best way to post a screenshot is to put the image on your host somewhere or use photobucket or something similar and include it in your post with the img bbcode tag. I'm assuming it's the phpbb head anyway, just don't know why you get 2 on one particular page because the phpbb page header is the same for all integrated pages...
