Release 0.0.4 is compatible with rc7 and up. There are some admin permissions and group problems in it though and I would recommend waiting for the next release which is currently in testing right now. I'm hoping it will be ready in a couple weeks.

If you only have the default g2 admin and have no groups and don't care about gallery links in pm's and some other minor issues, then the integration works as is...

OK, this is great news
I saw this gallery integrated here:
http://www.mantrasoftware.net/forum/gallery2.php

And felt in love with it on the spot
Will wait for next version Smile

I'm sure I am missing something very obvious, but I can't find any installation instructions for the integration.

The downloaded file is a .tgz file after I decompressed it and I don't see a readme anywhere.

Thanks for the help, and sorry for the silly question.

From readme_first.txt in root integration directory...

instructions, can be found in the docs directory.

The mod files can be found in the mods directory.

The gallery2 and phpBB3 directories contain the required files that need to be
installed.

I don't have a readme_first.txt file.

Maybe I downloaded the wrong thing, but the file that I got when I downloaded the integration was something called phpBB3_004.tgz.gz

When I unpack it, I don't get any subdirectories. Just the phpBB3_004.tgz

I saw a post earlier that this should be a .zip file? Am I just stupid and keep downloading the wrong thing?

I'm really sorry for the stupid questions, I'm really not this inept normally. Smile

Hmm...I just downloaded it from the sourceforge link on the home page of this site and the file I get is phpBB3_004.tgz - no additional .gz

But, the file is a gzipped tar file. On unix you will have gunzip it then untar it. On windows, winzip will do it all automatically.

I think you do not have it uncompressed all the way yet...

I will agree with the bad download. I finally had to download it from the UK. That got me a good set of files. All the mirror sites in the US didn't work properly.

I'm brand new here but if I may be of some assistance...when I downloaded the file I too had to specify the extension for the file. If you enter "tar" it should work properly.

Hope this helps.

I had the same issue downloading phpBB3_004.tgz from all of the USA mirrors. When I open them with WinZip it asks for the file extension of the file contained within. Entering tar as the file extension worked fine for me as WinZin then opened it and I was able to extract all the files from witin.
Thanks for the tip.

My Gallery2 Settings page in the Phpbb3 ACP control panel is all white Sad
It would be great with a package with everything pre-configured for a standard installation of phpbb3. Just upload everything and it's done. Thought I should do that, but mine isn't even working as it should Razz
