What additional features are desired?

No guarantees, they'll be implemented, depending on complexity; but just looking for ideas as to what folks would like to see as far as features/changes/additions/mods, etc for the next generation of the integration.

One of my wishes is to see the merger of the attachment functions (formerly attachment mod) with gallery. I intend to look into this at some point, but there are several obvious issues that immediately come up without even looking at the code. Just to name a few... 1.) users that post messages and images may not have an album 2.) users that post images with their messages may not want those images in their gallery albums 3.) the attachment functions support more than just images, etc, etc, etc. Most of this can probably be addressed, but I can easily imagine this code becoming larger than the integration code itself!

i think that, for starters, duplicating the current integration functionality is good. after the kinks are worked out, start building extra features into it.

Well, I expect to have a fully functional version of the current integration working by the end of the week. I have everything working now except the export code itself and most of that won't change. It's just a matter of changing the sql queries to match up with the new user/group table fields and changing some of the code a little. I'm already looking into it. The new groups table utilization makes a lot more sense now than before and actually makes life easier. Wrote a script last night to populate the olympus user and user_group tables with fake users to test the export code with. Want to find out where the limitations are, especially the timeout threshold.

In the meantime, just thought it would be interesting to see what others might like to see in the integration as far as features. If nothing else turns up, I'll probably concentrate on some kind of merger with attachments, simply because I have my own motives in that area. Smile

I've been following your progess on this mod, and just wanted to let you know what would be a great feature to have. I think if there was an "optional" mod that allows you to display the most recent images in a forum block it would be great. A lot of forum admin prefer not to use portals where you would usually have this, so as an option this would be great.

this is a possibility, as the imageblock module in g2 can show the most recent image (or images, depending on your config).
