how would a newbie go about adding a "random" or "daily" screenshot BLOCK using postnuke?
I got the gallery up and running, but not sure how to implement the random/daily as a block |

Hi
I was able to follow the instruction of the op and get gallery integrated in postnuke. When I login to my post nuke site as admin I dont get any of the links of gallery to add new pictures, create albums etc.
How do I check if logging into my postnuke site also logged into gallery ? Do they use the same user db ?
Thanks |

this site offers support for phpnuke only, not postnuke.
however, i believe that gallery will pull from the postnuke user db when embedded. _________________

This site doesn't support postnuke, none the less it should. Admin you can obviously people still need help.. and yes they will still ask since i have read i believe 5+ posts stating you don't support postnuke.
MANY ppl have installed postnuke and some (like the guy that wrote the guide) are helping others that have problems so why not let them help?
That or just make a postnuke forum.. what could it hurt?

PostNuke is not supported for one reason only: I don't use it, I don't have the time to set up and figure out it's nuts and bolts of how it works, and even if I did, I don't have the hardware to do it with (feel free to click the banner at the top and help out with the cost of new hardware, which will enable such a dev site to open without placing additional load on this site). It isn't because I don't like PostNuke, or I think PHPNuke is better (honestly, I think PostNuke is the better of the two when it comes to security).
With that said, visit http://www.nukedgallery.net/forum11.html ... a support forum here for PostNuke users.
And now a public appeal: If anyone out there has PostNuke experience and would be willing to assist with PostNuke support issues, please please please email me or send me a private message. I agree that this is a huge segment of the Gallery userbase that needs support that simply isn't out there right now. I'd love to make it available. _________________

Hi,
I installed gallery first, and since I'm on dial-up it's going to take forever to move it to the modules directory of phpNuke. I've been able to include gallery in the modules block by creating a page with just <?php include(".../Gallery/index.php"); ?> but when it opens it doesn't open in the middle block, but it gets rid phpNuke and just opens like it would normally (no modules menu or anything, and you have to re-loggin).
If I have to move it I will, but just out of curiousity sake - is there any way to get this working without moving it into the modules directory?
Thanks! |
