Not seeing the Gallery2 link in phpBB2 Admin UI

I can't seem to see the Galley2 link in the phpBB2 admin UI. I believe I've followed the instructions to a T, and even re-checked several times now.

I'm sure this is something silly. I'm essentially stuck at the "Configuration" section in the instructions.

The only think I wasn't sure about (as the instructions didn't say) was where to create the table phpbb_gallery2, I've assumed in the phpBB2 dB.

Using G2 and phpBB2 v2.0.13

Appreciate any help

Assume correct.

Why are you not using phpBB 2.0.17 ?

Make sure all the files are uploaded in the correct places.

Thanks speedracer for the reply, I'm not using 2.0.17 as it wasn't available on my hosts cPanel list. I expect I will upgrade when it's available, but surely this isn't why my link is not showing?

I believe that all the files are in the right place, I'll check again - going through the instructions again.

I wold suggest you dump the hosts application since when they do update it you most likely will not keep any mods or changes to it. Or they will no longer work right. Just download the installation from phpbb and install it yourself. Then give the gallery a try again.

Plus the path for the phpbb would be a little different since they usually hide it in a different directory.

Becasue there are slight coding changes and there is little development for backwards compatibility.

What you can do is login
Go to the ACP
http://web/forum/admin/admin_gallery2.php

But as renink suggest. Find another host or upgrade.

I am having this problem also. I use slide menu MOD and have already spoke with them, they say there's no reason it shouldn't show up as it picks up the modules automatically. All I did was copy it to the admin dir. Do I need to do more?

I have my gallery and forums in the same DB, would this be the problem? (I can't create a new db on my server).
