There's a WYSIWYG fix at http://nukesripts.net .... I used that when I was using Nuke and it was a good fix.

Most Nuke development related sites have had major complaints about the WYSIWYG being integrated into Nuke, because it's very buggy AND (as I'm sure anyone using the latest versions have found) VERY slow. The major part of the fix at nukescripts.net is the automatic "off" function for all of the modules, yet it's extremely easy to simply click the "on" button at the modules management and it's turned on for the particular modules you choose. However, the fix they provide did seem to help with other of the WYSIWYG related problems as well.

I personally didn't like the WYSIWYG put into Nuke, as it is NOT any sort of WYSIWYG.... it renders the code like M$ Winblow$ Frontpage does, meaning that it changes the code from what you see to what you WILL get, including loads of irrelevant tags. Rolling Eyes However, it IS integrated into Nuke now, so the first thing I'd suggest is that you get the fix at nukescripts.net and then see how it's working.

OK, I just searched through nukescripts.net before posting this, and I'm not finding the download. I know it's there, it's a matter of finding the correct link. However, I still have the .tar.gz file I downloaded from them exactly as it was packaged. So, until I can find exactly where it is on their site, I will provide it for download at my site as I'm leaving full credit to them. Wink http://katatawnic.com/WYSIWYG_Fix_(from ... et).tar.gz

It's quite simple to apply: just upload the folders/files (overwriting the originals, of course after backing them up!!!), run the provided "upgrade.php" file, and that's it.

Hope this helps, or at least is a step forward.

P.S. I have a feeling that there are a LOT of people that aren't happy with Nuke's 7.7 and 7.8 versions, because also at nukescripts.net there's been a "downgrade78-76.zip" for a while now (which actually is for 7.7. and 7.8 both, you will be prompted to choose which version you're downgrading FROM). THAT one can be found at http://www.nukescripts.net/modules.php? ... lid=100270

I just checked the file though, and I didn't see anything for modifying the WYSIWYG function. So I'd still suggest trying their WYSIWYG fix that I put onto my site for downloading to see how that might work for you. (Again, if/when I find this at nukescripts.net, I will put up their direct link for the download.... just remember where I got it, so that credit is given where it's due!)

Don't know for sure about 7.8 and WYSIWYG, I quit using Nuke right before 7.8 became available for public (free) download.

I just know that there are many users and developers that aren't happy with 7.7/7.8, hence the "downgrader" that's been made available.
