So far, there have been a couple of modules/blocks made available here for PHPNuke. More are on the horizon...
The blocks that are currently available include:
- An improved random block for Gallery, allowing photos to be updated every day, hour, or page view. In addition, you can have as many of these blocks on your page as you want, in any location as you want.
- Fixes for Gallery and PHPNuke 6.5 that address some mySQL errors.
- A script to generate RSS files from the latest headlines at CNN.com.
Here's what you can expect next from us here at YankeesInTheSouth:
- The RSS generation script is being ported from PERL to PHP, and should be complete soon.
- A per-user cookie-based block that shows you what Gallery photo albums have been updated since your last visit.
- The newest request has been to add a permissions capability to the random block code. For example, one album may be visible to all as a sample gallery, while others may be visible only to logged in users.
If you have any other code suggestions of things you'd like to see, drop us a line. Please remember, we all have our regular daytime jobs, and most of this coding is done during an hour or two each night that we have available to us. Patience is a virtue ;-)
Lastly, thanks for all the great feedback we've been getting here. It's great to see that others out there are finding our code useful, and that we didn't waste all those nights in front of the computer :)
